Frequently asked questions

Juice or smoothie – which is better?

Usually the smoothie: when you juice, the fibre stays in the pulp; in a smoothie the whole fruit stays in. A fresh, veg-heavy juice goes alongside a meal, not instead of one.

How long does fresh juice keep?

From a slow juicer (cold-pressed): about 48 hours in the fridge, and still drinkable for up to 3 days, though with fewer vitamins. From a centrifugal juicer: best drunk straight away, within 12 hours at the latest.

Do I need a juicer?

Not necessarily. Blending in a blender and pressing through a muslin cloth or fine sieve works too – it just takes a bit longer.
