Frequently asked questions

Should I snack at all?

It depends on your daily rhythm. If your main meals are well planned, you usually don't need snacks. If you have long working days or need lots of energy between workouts: yes, but with protein and not from a vending machine.

What should I snack on before exercise?

Banana with almond butter, skyr with berries or a small handful of dates and nuts. Eat 30–60 minutes beforehand, about 100–200 kcal with a mix of fast and slow carbs.

How much protein per snack?

10–20 g of protein is a good guide – for example 200 g of skyr, 50 g of almonds, 30 g of cheese or a protein shake.
