Method

You’ll need: chopping board · knife

  2. Peel the avocado, remove the stone and cut the flesh into thin strips.
  3. Mix the cream cheese with the dill and spread it over the salmon.
  4. Drizzle the avocado strips with lemon juice and lay them in the middle of the cream cheese.
  5. Roll the salmon up tightly, cut the rolls into small pieces and arrange them on a plate.

Good to know

Sushi without the rice. These rich, cold rolls are a luxurious snack for your keto diet.

Swaps

Cream cheese → vegan cream (if you don't eat dairy, use an almond-based plant spread; contains tree nuts).

Cooking tips

The salmon needs to be very cold when you cut it. If it's too warm, it tears straight away when you roll it.

Storage

Because of the avocado, the rolls oxidise fairly quickly in the air. Always make them shortly before eating.

Allergens

Contains fish and milk. Completely gluten-free and nut-free. During pregnancy, cold-smoked salmon should only be eaten if cooked until steaming hot, so these cold rolls aren't suitable then.
