Frequently asked questions

How do I get enough protein as a vegetarian?

Plan a protein source into every meal: skyr, quark or eggs in the morning, lentils, beans, tofu or cheese at lunch and dinner. Pulses and grains together, like lentils with rice, complement each other well.

Which vegetarian foods have the most protein?

Per 100 g, for example: parmesan around 32 g, tempeh around 19 g, firm tofu 12 to 17 g, quark 12 g, skyr and cottage cheese around 11 g each and cooked lentils about 9 g. An egg brings around 7 g.

Are there vegan high-protein recipes too?

Yes – with tofu, tempeh, seitan, lentils, beans and edamame, in the high-protein vegan recipes collection.
