Protein-rich mixed berry smoothie bowl
Protein-rich mixed berry smoothie bowl with berries and vanilla protein powder – creamy, cool and quick to make, topped with granola and pumpkin seeds.
Let the frozen berries and frozen banana thaw slightly. That makes the mixture easier and more even to blend.
Put the berries, banana, vanilla protein powder, almond butter and almond milk in a powerful blender.
Blend everything on medium speed until thick and creamy. Push the mixture down or scrape it off the sides now and then if needed.
Spoon the smoothie mixture into a bowl and smooth the top.
Slice the strawberry and get it ready together with the granola and pumpkin seeds.
Serve straight away, topping the bowl with granola, pumpkin seeds and strawberry slices.
Good to know
When mornings call for something cold, creamy and filling, this bowl is just right. It tastes like a little scoop of ice cream, only better suited to every day.
Swaps
Almond milk → unsweetened coconut milk from a carton (often a little creamier) | almond butter → cashew butter (milder flavour, also with some unsaturated fats) | granola → porridge oats or a nut crunch without added sugar (usually less sweet, more fibre)
Allergens
Contains almonds and, depending on the granola or protein powder, other allergens such as gluten or milk. Suitable for children in an adapted portion, and fine during pregnancy if the berries are handled hygienically and the protein powder fits the rest of your diet. Contains: gluten (oats).
