- 50g soft wheat semolina
- 2 organic eggs
- 150g cherries
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
Method
You’ll need: baking dish · mixing bowl · sieve
- Drain the cherries from the jar well in a sieve so not too much liquid gets into the batter.
- Stir the low-fat quark, semolina, eggs and maple syrup together in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- Leave the mixture to swell for 5 min so the semolina absorbs some moisture.
- Carefully fold the cherries into the batter and pour everything into a small baking dish.

Swaps
Cherries → pieces of apple (if you prefer a bit more bite and want to use fresh fruit).
Cooking tips
Only use unsweetened cherries from a jar or fresh cherries. Sweetened fruit pushes up the carbohydrates.
