The Meal Planner puts together a week of low-histamine recipes only, with your Shopping List.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack from our low-histamine recipes based on the SIGHI list: no aged cheese, processed meat, tinned fish, tomato, spinach, citrus fruit, vinegar, lentils, chickpeas, soya, shop-bought stock or fermented foods. The recipes are listed above, day by day.
For example porridge, pancakes, an omelette or cottage cheese with radishes, all freshly made. This week has a different breakfast every day, and you’ll find more ideas in our low-histamine breakfasts.
Better to cook fresh and eat soon: histamine can build up in cooked, protein-rich leftovers while they are stored. Cool whatever is left quickly and freeze it straight away if you can.
SIGHI describes three steps: about 10 to 14 days as low in histamine as possible, then you test single foods, and in the end you eat as varied a diet as you tolerate. It’s best to plan this with your doctor or a dietitian.
