Healthy finger food is built on veg, fish, cheese and nuts rather than anything deep-fried. For New Year’s Eve or a buffet, try roll-ups with salmon or courgette, stuffed mushrooms, summer rolls and oven-baked veg crisps. Most of it you can prepare the day before.
If the finger food replaces dinner, allow about 10 pieces per person; as a snack with drinks, 4 to 6.
Roll-ups, summer rolls and dips keep covered in the fridge until the next day. Store crisps and crackers in an airtight container so they stay crunchy.
Raclette or fondue as the main event, with yoghurt or quark dips and plenty of raw veg. You’ll find recipes in our raclette ideas and fondue recipes.
