Put the almond flour, desiccated coconut, cocoa powder and chia seeds in a small saucepan and mix everything thoroughly. Stir in the almond milk until there are no dry patches left and the mixture looks even. Heat the mixture over a medium heat, stirring regularly so nothing sticks to the bottom of the pan. As soon as the mixture is gently simmering, add the coconut oil and keep stirring until everything is creamy and combined. Leave the bowl to stand briefly until the consistency is nice and thick, like a pudding. Pour the warm chocolate and coconut mixture into a bowl and serve straight away. Good to know When the morning calls for something sweet, this bowl is just right. Warm, creamy and pleasantly chocolatey. Not much effort, but real comfort food.
Swaps Almond milk → coconut milk without added sugar (creamier). Almond flour → hazelnut flour (also provides fibre and vitamin E). Chia seeds → ground linseed (also provides fibre and plant-based omega-3 fatty acids).
Allergens Contains tree nuts (almond milk and almond flour), so it isn't suitable for people with a nut allergy. Give chia seeds to young children only in adapted form and with enough liquid; in pregnancy, the ingredients are generally fine in normal kitchen amounts.
