Vegetarian chestnut porridge with spelt flakes, cocoa and honey
Vegetarian chestnut porridge made with spelt flakes, sweet chestnuts, milk and cocoa, with honey and mandarins. A warm winter breakfast with 15 g protein per bowl, ready in 20 minutes.
Finely chop the chestnuts and set two tablespoons aside.
Bring the milk, spelt flakes, the rest of the chestnuts, cocoa powder, cinnamon and salt to the boil, stirring.
Leave the porridge to thicken over a low heat for 5 min, stirring so nothing catches.
Lightly mash the chestnuts in the pan with the spoon and stir in the honey.
Peel the mandarins and separate them into segments.
Divide the porridge between two bowls and top with the mandarins and the chestnuts you set aside.
Good to know
