Peel and core the pears and cut them into cubes. Grate the ginger.
Simmer the pears, ginger, honey and lemon juice in a small saucepan for 8 minutes, until the pears are soft.
Score the top of the camembert in a diamond pattern, push rosemary needles into the cuts, season with pepper and place it in a small ovenproof dish.
Cook the camembert in the air fryer at 180 °C for 8 to 10 minutes, until it's runny inside.
Toast the bread alongside it in the air fryer at 180 °C for 2 minutes, cut it into strips and serve with the camembert and compote.
Good to know
Baked cheese as a snack: in the air fryer, the camembert turns runny in 10 minutes. The pear and ginger compote brings sweetness and a little heat. One for sharing on the sofa.
Swaps
Camembert → brie (same pregnancy advice). Pears → apples. Honey → maple syrup. Rye bread → baguette or veg sticks.
Cooking tips
Leave the rind on – it holds the runny cheese together. Camembert straight from the fridge needs 2 minutes longer.
Storage
The compote keeps in the fridge for 5 days; bake the camembert fresh.
Allergens
Vegetarian; contains milk and gluten (rye); no egg or nuts. In pregnancy, use camembert made from pasteurised milk and heat it until piping hot all the way through.
