Method

You’ll need: blender · mixing bowl

  1. Check the banana and mango and cut them up a little if needed so they're easier to blend.
  2. Put the banana, mango, water and matcha powder into a blender.
  3. Blend until the smoothie bowl is creamy and even. Stop briefly and scrape the mixture down from the sides if needed.
  4. Check the consistency and make it a little thicker or runnier if you like.
  5. Have the oats ready as a topping.
  6. Spoon the matcha smoothie bowl into a bowl, sprinkle with the oats and serve straight away.

Good to know

When you want something fresh, creamy and simple in the morning, this bowl is just right. It tastes gently fruity, has a delicate matcha note and is on the table in a few minutes.

Swaps

Mango → pineapple (also provides vitamin C) | oats → chopped almonds (more unsaturated fats and vitamin E; contains tree nuts) | water → unsweetened almond milk (a little creamier, with calcium depending on the product; contains tree nuts) | banana → avocado (less sugar, more unsaturated fats instead)

Allergens

The recipe is vegan. Oats contain gluten (unless labelled gluten-free); almond milk or almonds aren't suitable if you have a nut allergy; and because of the caffeine in matcha, smaller amounts make sense for children and in pregnancy. Contains: gluten (oats).
