Wash the mixed berries and drain briefly. If you're using very large fresh berries, chop them roughly.
Put the almond milk in the blender together with the white almond butter. That way the almond butter spreads more evenly later.
Add the berries, ground linseed and protein powder. Blend everything until the smoothie is creamy and even.
If the texture is too thick for you, blend in a little more almond milk. For a colder, thicker texture, blend briefly with frozen berries.
Taste briefly and blend again if needed so no bits are left.
Pour into a glass or bowl and serve immediately.
Good to know
Sometimes a smoothie should just be filling, creamy and pleasantly fruity. That's exactly how this glass feels. Quick to make, no frills.
Swaps
White almond butter → cashew butter (milder flavour, also with some unsaturated fats). Almond milk → unsweetened coconut drink or oat milk without added sugar (different texture, a few more carbs depending on the product). Rice protein → pea protein (often a little more protein per serving). Ground linseed → chia seeds (similar fibre content, swell more).
Allergens
Contains almonds, and milk if you choose whey protein. For children, only in a suitable portion and without heavily sweetened extras; during pregnancy, washed berries and pasteurised products are the safe choice.
