Ingredients
- 200ml oat milk
- 100g blueberries
- 50g baby spinach
- 1 tsp chia seeds
Method
You’ll need: blender · sieve
- Wash the baby spinach in a sieve and let it drain well.
- Pour the oat milk into the blender and press the spinach in.
- Add the blueberries and chia seeds.
- Blend everything on the highest setting for just under 1 min, until no spinach fibres are visible.
- Pour the smoothie into a mug and let it stand for 2 min so the chia seeds can swell a little.
Good to know
If you'd like to drink green veg but shy away from the taste, you'll love this drink. The blueberries completely hide the spinach.
Swaps
Oat milk → almond milk (for a lower-carb version, you can use unsweetened almond milk).
Cooking tips
Always blend the spinach with the milk on its own first. That way you make sure no unwanted bits are left in the shake.
Storage
Because of the seeds, the drink quickly turns into a thick pudding in the fridge. Thin it with a little water the next day.
Allergens
Contains gluten (oat milk, unless labelled gluten-free). Lactose-free and vegan.
