Good to know

A smell from childhood, together with oats and nuts. This is how you make the fruit classic in the oven.

Swaps

Walnuts → pecans (for a more American touch). Maple syrup → date syrup (goes really well with the cinnamon). Apples → pears (softer texture).

Cooking tips

Pour a small splash of water into the baking dish so the bottoms of the apples don't stick.

Storage

They taste best fresh from the oven, but can be reheated the next day.

Allergens

Contains walnuts. Vegan and soya-free. Contains: gluten (oats).
