Good to know

Sometimes the simple things are just right. This jam is quick to make, pleasantly fruity and especially good on warm protein bread.

Swaps

Strawberries → raspberries (usually even more fibre) Vanilla extract → Ceylon cinnamon (adds plant compounds too) Chia seeds → ground linseed (also contains fibre and omega-3 fatty acids)

Allergens

The recipe is usually nut-free, but protein bread can contain gluten, egg, soya or milk. For small children, mix the swollen chia seeds in well. During pregnancy, washed fresh strawberries and ordinary vanilla extract are unremarkable in normal kitchen amounts. Contains: gluten.
