Ingredients

Method

You’ll need: blender

  1. If the strawberries are frozen, let them thaw slightly. Peel the banana and break it into pieces.
  2. Put the strawberries, banana, almond milk, low-fat quark, water, vanilla and honey in the blender.
  3. Blend everything until the shake is creamy, smooth and evenly pink. Add a small splash of water if needed.
  4. Taste it and carefully adjust the sweetness if needed. Then blend again very briefly.
  5. Pour the shake straight into a large glass and serve fresh.

Good to know

When you need something quick, this shake is a really good option. Creamy, fruity and pleasantly satisfying.

Swaps

Low-fat quark → skyr (similar protein content, often a little milder) | almond milk → cow's milk or unsweetened coconut milk from a carton (depending on the protein or fat content you want) | honey → a mashed date (natural sweetness plus a little fibre) | banana → avocado (less sugar, a creamier texture and mainly unsaturated fats)

Allergens

Contains milk (low-fat quark) and tree nuts (almond milk). Usually suitable for children, but no honey in the first year of life; during pregnancy no cause for concern with fresh, hygienically handled ingredients.
