Good to know

This cocoa tastes of Spekulatius without a single cookie going in. Speculoos spice and a spoonful of almond butter are all it takes, and maple syrup rounds it off. Made with almond milk, it's vegan and still creamy.

Swaps

Almond milk → oat milk (sweeter). Maple syrup → 2 dates, blended in. Almond butter → cashew butter. Speculoos spice → cinnamon, cardamom and a pinch of cloves.

Cooking tips

First mix the cocoa powder with some of the almond milk until smooth, then add the rest, so no lumps form.

Storage

Best drunk fresh; once cooled, it keeps for 1 day in the fridge – stir before reheating.

Allergens
