Ingredients
2 apples
3 tbsp almond butter
20 g dark chocolate (sweetened with dates)
2 tbsp walnuts
1 pinch of sea salt
1 tsp hemp seeds
Method
You’ll need: chopping board · knife
Wash the apples, remove the cores and cut them into even rings.
Spread the apple rings with almond butter and lay them on a plate or board.
Gently melt the dark chocolate until smooth and runny.
Drizzle the chocolate over the apple rings in thin lines and immediately sprinkle with walnuts, hemp seeds and a little sea salt.
Leave them for a moment so the chocolate sets slightly.
Serve fresh, while the apples are crisp and the topping is still nicely aromatic.
Good to know
When it needs to be quick but can still look like something special, these apple rings are ideal. Crunchy, creamy and with a little chocolate moment that doesn't take much.
Swaps
Almond butter → cashew butter (milder flavour, also provides unsaturated fats). Walnuts → pecans (a little mellower in flavour, also contain fibre). Hemp seeds → chopped pistachios (also bring plant protein). Dark chocolate → cacao nibs (less sweet, with a purer cocoa flavour).
Allergens
Contains tree nuts (almonds, walnuts) and, depending on the chocolate, may contain traces of other allergens. For children, only serve in small pieces that are easy to chew; in pregnancy, the ingredients are fine in normal kitchen amounts.
