At a glance Serves 2 Prep time: 10 min No cooking needed Total time: 10 min Calories: 250 kcal per serving Protein: 18 g Fat: 8 g Carbs: 22 g Ingredients 250g low-fat quark 1 splash of almond milk 1 tbsp honey 2 peaches 2 tbsp almonds Method You’ll need: frying pan · chopping board · knife · mixing bowl
Put the low-fat quark in a bowl and stir it with a splash of almond milk until smooth and it has the texture of creamy yoghurt. Mix the honey thoroughly into the quark to balance the slight sourness of the dairy. Wash the peaches, halve them, remove the stones and cut the flesh into bite-sized, flat wedges. Roughly chop the almonds and toast them briefly in a small dry frying pan until they take on a little colour. Divide the quark between two flat plates, arrange the peach wedges on top and scatter everything with the warm almonds. Good to know A bowl of plain low-fat quark is boring. With fresh fruit and warm, crunchy nuts it turns into a proper dessert in no time.
Swaps Peaches → nectarines (a direct, very similar alternative if you don't have peaches in the house).
Cooking tips If you want the quark especially creamy, use sparkling mineral water instead of almond milk to stir it smooth.
Storage It's best to always make the dessert fresh, as cut peaches quickly turn brown in the air.
Allergens Contains milk and tree nuts (almonds, almond milk). Completely gluten-free.
