  2. Stir the low-fat quark with the honey until smooth and creamy.
  3. Fill the papaya halves with the quark cream and smooth the surface slightly.
  4. Shell the pistachios and chop them finely.
  5. Scatter the chopped pistachios evenly over the quark.
  6. Serve the papaya and quark boat chilled, with a spoon.

Good to know

Sometimes it should just be simple, fresh and nicely served straight from the fruit. This papaya boat is easy to make and still looks special.

Swaps

Low-fat quark → skyr (similar protein content, often slightly milder flavour). Honey → date paste (more natural sweetness plus a little fibre). Pistachios → walnuts (more omega-3 fatty acids). Papaya → berries on quark (usually more fibre, a little tarter).

Allergens

Contains milk and tree nuts. Easy for children to spoon, but honey isn't suitable for babies under 12 months; in pregnancy, ripe papaya in normal amounts is generally fine.
