Ingredients
400 g turkey breast
400 g pak choi
30 g peanuts
2 tbsp olive oil
1 garlic clove
1 pinch of pepper
1 tbsp soy sauce
Method
You’ll need: frying pan · chopping board · knife
Cut the turkey breast into thin strips and finely chop the garlic. Halve the pak choi, wash it thoroughly and cut it into large pieces.
Heat olive oil in a large frying pan and fry the turkey strips all over until lightly browned. Then take the meat out of the pan for a moment.
Add more olive oil to the pan and briefly cook the garlic. Add the pak choi and cook until the leaves wilt and the stalks still have some bite.
Return the turkey strips to the pan. Stir in the soy sauce and peanuts and heat everything together until evenly hot.
Season the dish with pepper. Stir well once more so the soy sauce coats everything.
Serve the low-carb turkey strips with pak choi hot, straight from the pan.
Good to know
When I need something quick, I especially like pan dishes like this. Warm, savoury and on the table without much effort. Just right for a relaxed evening after work.
Swaps
Turkey breast → chicken breast (similar protein content); peanuts → cashews (milder flavour, also provide minerals); soy sauce → tamari (gluten-free if labelled as such); olive oil → avocado oil (stable at high heat, mostly unsaturated fats).
Allergens
The dish contains peanuts and soya; with tamari it can be made gluten-free. For children, use the soy sauce sparingly; during pregnancy, make sure the turkey strips are cooked through.
