Ingredients

Method

You’ll need: blender · knife · sieve

  1. Wash the spinach under running water and leave it to drain briefly.
  2. Pour the coconut milk into the blender jug and loosely press in the spinach leaves.
  3. Add the linseed so the blade can crack it open.
  4. Blend everything for just under 1 min until the spinach has completely broken down.
  5. Pour the drink into a glass and drink it straight away.

Good to know

Smoothies without fruit take some getting used to for many people at first. Thanks to the coconut milk, though, this mix tastes wonderfully well-rounded.

Swaps

Linseed → hemp seeds (hulled hemp seeds have a stronger nutty flavour and more plant protein).

Cooking tips

Use the coconut drink from a carton and definitely not thick tinned coconut milk, or the shake will turn into cream.

Storage

Linseed swells a lot. If the drink stands for more than an hour, you'll need to thin it down well with water.

Allergens

Completely gluten-free, lactose-free and vegan. Contains none of the major allergens.
