Ingredients

Method

You’ll need: frying pan · chopping board · knife · mixing bowl

  1. Roughly chop the hazelnuts and toast them in a frying pan until fragrant. Then leave them to cool briefly.
  2. Stir the hazelnut butter, cocoa powder, coconut oil and maple syrup together in a bowl into an even, dense mixture.
  3. Put the mixture in the freezer until it is much firmer and easy to shape. It should be cold but not rock hard.
  4. Shape the nougat mixture into small balls. If it gets too soft, chill it again in between.
  5. Roll the balls in the toasted hazelnuts until coated all over.
  6. Serve the low-carb hazelnut nougat balls well chilled. In the fridge they stay pleasantly firm.
