Low-carb beef strips with oyster mushrooms
Low-carb beef strips with oyster mushrooms: a hearty pan dish with sirloin steak, oyster mushrooms, garlic and cashews – quick to make and pleasantly satisfying.
Cut the sirloin steak into thin strips. Tear the oyster mushrooms into bite-sized pieces and finely chop the garlic.
Heat the sesame oil in a wok or large frying pan. Sear the beef strips briefly over a high heat so they take on colour.
Take the meat out of the pan and set aside. Add the oyster mushrooms, garlic and cashews to the fat in the pan and fry until the mushrooms are browned.
Return the beef strips to the pan. Toss everything together only briefly so the meat stays juicy.
Season the pan with salt and pepper to taste. Then take it straight off the heat.
Serve the low-carb beef strips with oyster mushrooms piping hot. A crunchy salad or quickly fried veg goes well with it.
