Good to know
Macadamia nuts are the true kings of the keto diet. Paired with creamed coconut, they become truffles.
Swaps
Macadamia nuts → pecans (another very low-carb, soft alternative with a strong nutty flavour).
Cooking tips
Don't grind the nuts for too long at once. If they get warm, the oil comes out and you end up with macadamia butter instead of nut flour.
Storage
Because of their very high fat content, these truffles melt in your fingers. Only take them out of the fridge seconds before eating.
Allergens
Contains tree nuts (macadamia). Completely lactose-free, gluten-free and vegan.
