Divide the cauliflower into small florets and cook in salted water until soft.
Cut the beef steak into even strips and pat dry if needed.
Heat the olive oil in a frying pan and quickly fry the steak strips over a high heat until coloured on the outside.
Take the meat out of the pan, salt it lightly and leave it to rest briefly.
Drain the cauliflower and blend it with the butter, cream, salt and nutmeg into a smooth mash.
Spoon the cauliflower mash onto plates and top with the steak strips.
Good to know
When it has to be quick but should still be satisfying, this dish is just right. Nice and simple, warm and on the plate without much effort.
Swaps
Butter → ghee (lower in lactose, good for high heat); cream → coconut milk (dairy-free and creamy); beef steak → chicken breast (leaner, also provides plenty of protein); olive oil → avocado oil (mild and good for frying)
Allergens
Contains milk from the butter and cream; usually well suited to children if the meat is fried until tender, and during pregnancy serve it cooked through.
