Keto beef mince pan with white cabbage
Keto beef mince pan with white cabbage: a savoury one-pan dish with beef mince, white cabbage, garlic, stock and soy sauce – hearty and easy for every day.
Trim the white cabbage, remove the core and cut into fine strips. Finely dice the onion and garlic.
Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan and fry the beef mince over a high heat until crumbly and well browned. Add the onion and garlic and fry briefly with it.
Stir in the paprika, caraway, salt and pepper. Add the white cabbage to the pan and fry, stirring, until it wilts slightly.
Deglaze with the beef stock and soy sauce. Cover the pan and braise everything over a medium heat until the cabbage is soft but still has a little bite.
Finally, reduce briefly without the lid if there's still too much liquid in the pan. Taste again.
Serve straight away. Add a dollop of soured cream if you like.
Good to know
A dish like this often lands on the table exactly when you want something warm, hearty and uncomplicated. The pan is quick to make and tastes almost even more rounded the next day.
Swaps
Soy sauce → tamari (often wheat-free). Beef mince → turkey mince (similar protein content). White cabbage → sweetheart cabbage (often a little more tender and milder in flavour). Soured cream → Greek yoghurt (also provides protein).
Allergens
Contains soya and gluten (soy sauce; tamari is usually wheat-free). For children, season mildly and cook until nice and soft; in pregnancy, use fresh mince, prepare it hygienically and cook it right through.
