Hojicha skyr cream made with roasted Japanese green tea, cream and maple syrup, layered with persimmon and black sesame brittle. No-bake desserts with 16 g of protein per glass.
You’ll need: frying pan · chopping board · knife · wooden spoon
Hojicha is roasted green tea from Japan, and it's turning up in the food trends for 2026 as a nutty alternative to matcha. It has caramel and toasted notes and is barely bitter. With skyr, persimmon and black sesame, it becomes an autumn dessert.
Hojicha → matcha (greener, more bitter). Persimmon → pear or mango. Cream → 100 g more skyr (firmer). Black sesame → white sesame.
Dissolve the powder in a little milk first, otherwise you'll get lumps in the skyr. Don't keep the brittle in the fridge – it goes soft there.
The cream keeps for 2 days covered in the fridge; add the persimmon and brittle just before serving.
Contains milk and sesame; gluten-free, no egg or nuts. Hojicha contains a little caffeine – halve the amount for children and in pregnancy. No honey for babies under one year old.
