Good to know

Sometimes breakfast or dessert can simply be warm, soft and comforting. This bake is exactly that: simple, satisfying and pleasantly easy.

Swaps

Honey → date paste (natural sweetness plus a little fibre). Low-fat quark → skyr (similar protein content, often a little milder in flavour). Butter → ghee (buttery flavour, almost lactose-free). Apples → pears (also contain fibre and are often a little gentler in sweetness).

Allergens

Contains milk and egg. Generally suitable for children, but honey isn't suitable for babies under 12 months. During pregnancy, it's usually no problem with fresh eggs and clean preparation.
