Wash the courgettes and use a spiralizer to cut them into thin courgette noodles. Cut the turkey breast into strips, dice the onion and chop the garlic.
Heat the olive oil in a frying pan and brown the turkey breast on all sides until lightly coloured. Take the meat out of the pan for now.
Add the onion and garlic to the fat in the pan and cook gently until soft and translucent. Pour in the cream and bring the sauce briefly to the boil.
Return the turkey strips to the pan and add the courgette noodles. Heat everything only briefly so the courgette keeps some bite.
Season the turkey strips with salt and pepper to taste. Give the sauce another good stir.
Arrange the high-protein turkey strips with courgette noodles on plates and serve hot.
Good to know
When it needs to be quick but still fresh, this dish is just right. Creamy, savoury and pleasantly light.
Swaps
Cream → Greek yoghurt (also provides protein); turkey breast → chicken breast (similar protein content, just as mild); courgette noodles → broccoli (also provides fibre and vitamin C); olive oil → ghee (heat-stable, stronger flavour; contains milk)
Allergens
Contains milk (cream). Usually fine for children if the garlic and pepper are kept mild; in pregnancy, cook the turkey breast right through.
