Ingredients

Method

You’ll need: mixing bowl · sieve

  1. Mix the oats with the espresso, oat milk and maple syrup in a wide glass.
  2. Press the mixture flat onto the bottom of the glass with a spoon and leave it to swell briefly.
  3. Stir the low-fat quark with a splash of water in a bowl until smooth.
  4. Spread the quark cream over the coffee oat base as a top layer.
  5. Dust the cocoa powder thickly over the quark through a fine sieve.

Good to know

Your favourite dessert as an everyday snack. It pairs the classic coffee flavour with a big helping of protein.

Swaps

Maple syrup → date syrup (with its round, very earthy caramel flavour, date syrup goes brilliantly with the bitter coffee).

Cooking tips

Use strongly brewed, real espresso rather than ordinary filter coffee, otherwise the coffee flavour gets completely lost in the oats.

Storage

The glass is ideal to make in the evening and spoon straight from the fridge the next morning as quick meal prep.

Allergens

Contains milk. Oats and oat milk contain gluten unless they're certified gluten-free.
