Ingredients

Method

You’ll need: saucepan

  1. Make a strong espresso or black coffee and let it cool completely.
  2. Spread the oats evenly over the bottom of a small container or dish.
  3. Pour the cooled espresso over the oats so they are well moistened all over.
  4. Stir the low-fat quark with the maple syrup until smooth and creamier.
  5. Spread the quark mixture evenly over the soaked oats and chill the tiramisu briefly.
  6. Dust the high-protein oat tiramisu with cocoa powder before serving.

Good to know

Tastes like dessert and is still wonderfully uncomplicated on an ordinary day. Just right when you want something creamy with a hint of coffee.

Swaps

Low-fat quark → skyr (similar protein content, slightly milder flavour); maple syrup → date paste (also adds small amounts of minerals); oats → fine spelt flakes (similar fibre, a slightly different grain flavour); espresso → decaffeinated coffee (same flavour, less caffeine)

Allergens

Contains milk protein, and oats contain gluten unless they're certified gluten-free; only partly suitable for children because of the coffee, and during pregnancy keep an eye on your total caffeine intake. Contains: gluten (oats).
