High-protein gingerbread porridge baked in the oven with oats, low-fat quark, eggs and oranges. A breakfast in ramekins with 32 g protein per serving, ready in 35 minutes.
You’ll need: oven · chopping board · knife · grater
The smell of gingerbread in the morning – but as a breakfast with quark and oats. The ramekins bake while you're in the shower. The orange slices caramelise slightly on top.
Low-fat quark → skyr (similar protein content). Oranges → mandarins or pears. Maple syrup → honey (no honey for babies under one year old). Hazelnuts → flaked almonds.
The porridge is done when a wooden skewer comes out of the middle without any wet batter. Without ramekins, it works in a small baking dish – just bake it for 5 min longer.
Covered, the baked porridge keeps for 3 days in the fridge; cold, it tastes like a moist cake.
Contains gluten (oats, unless labelled gluten-free), egg, milk and tree nuts (hazelnuts). Suitable for children; depending on the blend, gingerbread spice contains cloves and nutmeg, both only in small amounts.
