Good to know
Bolognese takes time but very little work. Lean steak mince or beef mince gives you that hearty flavour without heavy fat.
Swaps
Beef mince → turkey mince (you can easily swap the dark beef for pale, milder turkey).
Cooking tips
Brown the meat in small batches over a high heat instead of adding it all at once, or it'll stew in its own juices.
Storage
Bolognese is a braised dish. Kept in the fridge and reheated the next day, it tastes almost even better.
Allergens
Completely gluten-free, lactose-free and nut-free.
