  1. Whip the quark with a little cold water until the texture is light and smooth.
  2. Cut the apple into small pieces and fold it into the quark.
  3. Roughly chop the walnuts and scatter them over the bowl together with the desiccated coconut.
  4. Sprinkle everything with cinnamon, spreading it as evenly as possible over the top.
  5. Let the bowl stand briefly so the flavours come together.
  6. Serve the apple and cinnamon bowl straight away and enjoy it well chilled.

Good to know

When you need something fast, this bowl is just right. Creamy, cinnamony and pleasantly crunchy. So simple that it really works on busy days.

Swaps

Quark → skyr (similar protein content, slightly milder flavour); walnuts → almonds (also provide natural fats and some vitamin E); apple → pear (often a little softer); desiccated coconut → chopped hazelnuts (more bite and extra fibre).

Allergens

Contains milk and walnuts (tree nuts). Generally suitable for children – chop the nuts finely depending on their age; in pregnancy the bowl is usually unproblematic, but use cinnamon, like other spices, in normal kitchen amounts.
