Greek yoghurt with figs

Greek yoghurt with figs and honey. A very quick dessert you put together in a few minutes without any cooking at all.

Ingredients

Method

You’ll need: chopping board · knife

  1. Divide the Greek yoghurt evenly between two shallow bowls.
  2. Wash the figs, cut off the stalks and quarter them.
  3. Place the fig quarters on the yoghurt.
  4. Roughly chop the pistachios and scatter them over the figs.
  5. Drizzle everything with the honey and serve straight away.

Good to know

It doesn't always have to be complicated. Greek yoghurt is so creamy that with a little fruit it feels like a properly elaborate dessert.

Swaps

Honey → maple syrup (if you'd like a slightly caramel note instead of the floral honey).

Cooking tips

You can tell ripe figs by their thin skin, which gives slightly and shows small cracks. Hard figs taste of very little.

Storage

If you scatter the pistachios over the yoghurt too early, they soak up moisture straight away and lose their all-important crunch.

Allergens

Contains milk and tree nuts (pistachios). Completely gluten-free.
