Ingredients
150 g strawberries
1 banana
200 ml gluten-free oat milk
1 tsp honey
Method
You’ll need: blender · knife · sieve
Wash and hull the strawberries and drain well. If you're using frozen strawberries, you can use them straight away.
Peel the banana and break it into rough chunks. That way it blends more evenly.
Put the strawberries, banana, oat milk and honey into the blender. Make sure the strawberries at the bottom are in good contact with the blades.
Blend on high until the smoothie is creamy and smooth. If it's too thick for you, add another small splash of oat milk.
Taste briefly. For more freshness, you can blend in one more small strawberry if needed.
Good to know
Sometimes a simple glass with a little sweetness and freshness is all you need. This smoothie is exactly that: soft, fruity and refreshingly simple.
Swaps
Honey → date paste (a little more fibre), oat milk → unsweetened almond milk (often a little thinner), banana → avocado (more unsaturated fatty acids, less sweetness), strawberries → blueberries (different polyphenols and a little more fibre)
Allergens
The recipe is gluten-free only with certified gluten-free oat milk – otherwise oat milk contains gluten. Honey isn't suitable for babies under 12 months. During pregnancy the smoothie is generally fine with washed, fresh ingredients.
