Ingredients

Method

You’ll need: blender

  1. Briefly sort through the berries and put them in the blender with the milk.
  2. Add the oats and honey and close the lid firmly.
  3. Blend everything briefly on a low setting first, then on high, until the mixture is even and creamy.
  4. If the smoothie is still too thick, fine-tune it with a little more milk and blend briefly again.
  5. Pour the smoothie straight into a glass and serve fresh.

Good to know

Sometimes it just needs to be quick and still really good. This smoothie is creamy, fruity and pleasantly satisfying. On busy days, that's exactly my pace.

Swaps

Milk → kefir (tangier and thicker); honey → mashed banana (more fibre, sweetened with fruit); oats → gluten-free millet flakes (naturally gluten-free); berries → cherries (also contain natural plant compounds)

Allergens

Contains milk. Oats contain gluten, so only use oats labelled gluten-free. Usually well suited to children, but no honey in the first year of life; during pregnancy, pasteurised dairy is the safe choice.
