Ingredients

Method

You’ll need: high-speed blender · chopping board · knife · mixing bowl · grater

  1. Peel the banana, cut it into pieces and freeze until solid. This makes the bowl thick and creamy.
  2. Put the frozen dragon fruit purée, banana, coconut yoghurt and coconut milk into a powerful blender.
  3. Blend everything finely until the mixture is as smooth as ice cream. Only add a little coconut milk if needed, so it stays thick.
  4. Slice the kiwi and finely dice the mango. Spoon the mixture into a bowl and smooth the top.
  5. Have the chia seeds and desiccated coconut ready. Only add the toppings to the bowl just before eating.
  6. Top the bowl with kiwi, mango, chia seeds and desiccated coconut and serve cold straight away.

Good to know

This bowl looks like summer and is ready in a few minutes. Creamy, cold and wonderfully vibrant – ideal when you want something fresh.

Swaps

Kiwi → berries (more fibre, usually a little less sweet). Mango → papaya (mild, also provides vitamin C). Desiccated coconut → chopped almonds (more vitamin E and a little more protein).

Allergens

Depending on the coconut yoghurt, it may contain nuts or additives; chia seeds only make sense for small children in a suitable amount and texture, and during pregnancy the ingredients are common – if your stomach is sensitive, a small, well-chilled portion is often more pleasant.
