Ingredients
150 g mango
150 g low-fat quark
200 ml almond milk
30 g vanilla protein powder (without added sugar or sweeteners)
1 tsp chia seeds
Method
You’ll need: blender
Put the mango pieces in the blender and blend briefly first, so they combine evenly later.
Add the low-fat quark, almond milk and vanilla protein powder (unsweetened).
Blend everything on high until the smoothie is creamy and there are no more pieces of fruit.
If it's too thick, add a little more almond milk and blend briefly again.
Pour the smoothie straight into a tall glass.
Sprinkle with chia seeds and serve immediately.
Good to know
When I'm short on time, this smoothie is my easy favourite. Fruity, creamy and pleasantly light – without much effort.
Swaps
Low-fat quark → skyr (similar protein content, often slightly milder flavour); almond milk → unsweetened coconut milk from a carton (creamier); vanilla protein powder → unflavoured protein powder (less sweet-tasting, often a shorter ingredient list); chia seeds → ground linseed (fibre and omega-3 fatty acids).
Allergens
Contains milk (low-fat quark) and tree nuts (almond milk). Suitable for children in small portions; during pregnancy it's generally unremarkable with fresh, cleanly prepared ingredients.
