Ingredients
200 g Medjool dates
100 g almonds
3 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp rolled oats
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp desiccated coconut
Method
You’ll need: food processor · grater
Roughly chop the almonds in a food processor, so they keep some bite and don't turn into a fine almond paste.
Add the Medjool dates, cocoa powder, oats and chia seeds and blend everything in short bursts.
Keep processing until you have a sticky, mouldable mixture that holds together well when pressed.
Shape the mixture into small balls with your hands and roll them again briefly if needed so they're even.
If you like, roll the balls in desiccated coconut until lightly coated.
To serve, enjoy them straight away or eat them well chilled from the fridge.
Good to know
When you're short on time, these little balls are just the thing. Moist, chocolatey and just right for a sweet moment in between.
