Hold the frozen açaí purée briefly under warm water and remove it from the packaging. Then break it into pieces.
Put the açaí purée in the blender with one half of the banana, the frozen mixed berries and the oat milk.
Blend everything until creamy and thick, with a consistency like ice cream. If needed, add a little more oat milk, just a splash at a time.
Spoon the açaí mixture into a shallow bowl and smooth the top.
Slice the remaining banana and arrange it on the bowl with the granola.
Good to know
A good açaí bowl is all about texture: thick, cold and still creamy. That's exactly how it ends up on your spoon here.
Swaps
Oat milk → unsweetened almond milk (often a little milder in flavour), granola → chopped walnuts (more unsaturated fatty acids), banana → mango (also provides carbohydrates and vitamin C), frozen mixed berries → blueberries (contain polyphenols)
Allergens
Contains gluten (oat milk, granola; unless labelled gluten-free). For small children, keep an eye on the toppings. In pregnancy and for children and older people, boil frozen berries for 2 minutes first and let them cool, or use fresh berries.
