Ingredients

Method

You’ll need: saucepan · wooden spoon · whisk

  1. Have the spelt semolina, chocolate protein powder and cocoa ready separately. That way everything can be stirred in evenly later.
  2. Warm the milk in a small pan over a medium heat. It should get hot but not boil.
  3. Slowly sprinkle the spelt semolina into the warm milk while whisking. Keep stirring until the semolina pudding thickens and is smooth.
  4. Take the pan off the heat and stir in the chocolate protein powder together with the cocoa. Stir thoroughly until you have a creamy, even mixture.
  5. Let the semolina pudding stand briefly so it gets a little thicker. Give it one good stir if needed.
  6. Spoon into bowls or glasses, drizzle with hazelnut butter and sprinkle with the chopped hazelnuts.

Good to know

When you want something chocolatey that still works for every day, this semolina pudding is just right. Warm, creamy and pleasantly simple. A breakfast like this feels like a little extra.

Swaps

Semi-skimmed milk → unsweetened soya milk (more plant protein); chopped hazelnuts → walnuts (more omega-3 fatty acids); spelt semolina → oat semolina (usually a little more fibre)

Allergens

Contains milk, hazelnuts and, depending on the protein powder, other allergens; generally suitable for children if the protein powder is chosen to suit their age, and usually fine in pregnancy – ideally use an unsweetened powder and check the ingredient list for additives. Contains: gluten.
