Ingredients

Method

You’ll need: blender

  1. Blend the dates with the salt into a mixture you can shape. If it is too dry, let it rest briefly or soak the dates beforehand.
  2. Divide the mixture into portions and shape little boats or balls with a hollow in the middle.
  3. Fill each hollow with hazelnut butter, set a toasted hazelnut on top and press it in lightly.
  4. Stir the cocoa powder and coconut oil into a smooth coating. Warm the coconut oil gently if needed.
  5. Spoon a little coating over the pralines and chill until set.
  6. Serve the pralines well chilled, perhaps with coffee or herbal tea.

Good to know

These pralines are soft, nutty and pleasantly chocolatey. They look like something special but are quick to make. Just right for a small sweet moment in between.

Swaps

Hazelnut → almond (also provides vitamin E) | hazelnut butter → almond butter (also contains calcium) | dates → figs (also provide fibre)

Allergens

Contains tree nuts (hazelnuts). The whole hazelnut can be a choking hazard for small children; usually fine in pregnancy.
