You’ll need: blender

  3. Blend everything briefly on low, then on medium to high speed, until the smoothie is even and creamy.
  4. Check the consistency and blend a little longer if needed, until there are no more bits to be seen.
  5. Serve the blueberry coconut protein smoothie well chilled in a glass straight away.

Good to know

When it has to be quick, a smoothie like this is simply pleasant. Creamy, cool and in the glass without much effort. An uncomplicated meal, especially on busy days.

Swaps

Peanut butter → almond butter (provides vitamin E and usually slightly more monounsaturated fats). Coconut milk → unsweetened almond milk (thinner, with less fat). Blueberries → raspberries (more fibre with a similarly fruity character).

Allergens

Depending on the protein powder, it contains milk; peanut butter contains peanuts, a common allergen, and almond butter or almond milk as a swap contain tree nuts. For children, only serve it with a suitable consistency and without large pieces; during pregnancy the ingredients are usually fine in normal kitchen amounts.
