Ingredients

Method

You’ll need: high-speed blender · food processor · chopping board · knife

  1. Peel the bananas in advance, cut them into pieces and freeze them completely for at least 4 hours.
  2. Put the frozen banana pieces in a food processor or high-speed blender together with the frozen berries.
  3. Add the almond milk a little at a time so the fruit blends more easily into a creamy mixture.
  4. Pulse everything first, then blend until smooth and you have a soft-serve consistency. Scrape the mixture down from the sides in between if needed.
  5. Finely slice the mint or get it ready as a fresh garnish.
  6. Serve the berry nice cream straight away and enjoy with the mint.

Good to know

When you want something cold, creamy and fruity, this nice cream is just right. It's ready in a few minutes and tastes pleasantly fresh.

Swaps

Almond milk → tinned coconut milk (creamier consistency, a little more fat) | mixed berries → blueberries (milder in flavour, also contain plant compounds) | mint → lemon zest (fresh citrus note without extra sugar) | banana → frozen mango (fruity and sweet, also provides fibre)

Allergens

Contains almond milk and therefore tree nuts; usually well suited to children if the consistency suits their age, and the ingredients are generally considered normal during pregnancy as long as they're handled hygienically. In pregnancy and for children and older people, boil frozen berries for 2 minutes first and let them cool, or freeze fresh berries yourself.
