Ingredients

Method

You’ll need: chopping board · knife

  1. Wash the apple thoroughly and cut it into thick slices.
  2. Remove the core so you get neat apple rings.
  3. Spread the apple rings with peanut butter.
  4. Sprinkle over the hemp seeds and press them on lightly so they stick.
  5. Dust everything with cinnamon.
  6. Arrange the apple rings straight away and serve fresh.

Good to know

When it needs to be quick, I especially like little snacks like this. Fresh, creamy and with just the right bit of cinnamon.

Swaps

Peanut butter → almond butter (more vitamin E). Hemp seeds → chopped walnuts (more omega-3 fatty acids). Apple → pear (similar fibre content, usually softer). Cinnamon → cacao nibs (unsweetened, with natural plant compounds).

Allergens

Contains peanuts, and depending on traces in the hemp seeds, other allergens may be present. For children, serve in small pieces that are easy to chew; during pregnancy the ingredients are fine in normal kitchen amounts.
